After Parisi’s, I figured I would head over to the Kavarna side. I hadn’t been there in awhile, and I needed caffeine. I got a mexican mocha and that beauty you see on the left, a banana muffin with buttercream frosting. I saw it on their facebook, and thought about trying it, but never actually felt the need to until I saw it. I don’t usually like sweets, but for this I made an exception. Ohhhh, it was so good. The buttercream was perfect, and the cupcake wasn’t too dry. Amazing.

Went to Parisi’s again yesterday. Got my usual, except they were out of rasberry jam so they made it with plum instead. Still very good, and not as sweet. For some reason my phone doesn’t like to rotate photos correctly. FUCK YOU PHONE.

Oh my god. I made braised pork shoulder tonight, another recipe I got from amateurgourmet.com, and it was by far the best pork I have ever had. So good in fact that I am currently curled into the fetal position on my couch. Better than sex. I made some fingerling potatoes to go with that were also delicious. Thanks to Aaron and Hanna for enjoying it with me!

Food for the next two weeks! I now have everything to make two batches of homemade mac and cheese, braised pork shoulder, fingerling potatoes, and smoked turkey sandwiches on baguettes. Yummy!

I made Chicken with 40 Cloves of Garlic last night! It was amazing. I got the recipe from the amateurgourmet.com, one of my favorite foodie sites. The garlic, believe it or not, is actually not overpowering. Still very strong, but not too strong.

Soooo, the picture I took of dinner didn’t save for some reason, so this is all I have. That is prosciutto di parma and fresh mozzarella. I used it to make some amazing Mozzarella in Carrozza, which is basically a ridiculous hot ham and cheese.
